I was pleasantly surprised to see an email from Scott Lucas’ publicist asking if he and the Married Men could come by and do a session. The message came the same week a full-page CHS profile was featured in NewCity, and figure that’s how she heard about us; so thanks again to David Wicik from NewCity for most likely and indirectly helping set up the session via his article. Although the band was missing a few members for their session with us, we happily captured a stripped-down arrangement that was excellently balanced between acoustic and electric guitars, accordion and sparse drums. Not to mention Scott’s iconic vocal styling and his distinctive and personal lyrics. Doug did a masterful job mixing this session… Enjoy!
