I heard about Redgrave via a poster for a show they were playing at the Empty Bottle with local legends Califone and local indie-metal darlings Bloodiest. Considering Redgrave was on the bill with these two heavy-hitting bands, and also because I had never heard them or seen their name around, I was instantly intrigued. Later on I saw a poster for a headlining show of theirs at Schubas with Coupleskate, and then I knew I needed to check them out. Considering the disparity of the bands they were playing around town with, I figured Redgrave would be a band worth hearing. When the opportunity to record Angie and Stephen came up, we jumped at the chance and booked our first day of sessions since August 2011. Check out the candles in the video, a CHS first. The one behind Angie had to be moved after the first song; it kept wobbling and it made me afraid that I might have to utilize renter's insurance for the first time.
