A huge enjoyable factor of doing these sessions is when you ask an artist you are already a fan of to come in and record and they say yes. This was just the case when we sent Andy Bothwell (aka Astronautalis) an invite to play for Coach House Sounds. The session started out shaky, only having a small timeframe to get Andy from the Bottom Lounge, then to our space, and finally back to the venue for a show (we dropped him off just minutes before he was to go onstage). But, we pulled it off and the result is well worth the effort, an inspirational live recording of an amazing artist.
